Vote YES on Prop 478 for a Livable Tempe

We strongly recommend voting YES on Prop 478. 

Prop 478 is the result of extensive neighborhood outreach and input on Tempe’s General Plan 2050. Countless opportunities to gather input from the community took place. Throughout the process, staff were guided by a working group of Tempe residents. 

Alongside other community groups, Tempe YIMBY fought to protect key elements of General Plan 2050 that would make Tempe more affordable, sustainable, and inclusive. During the process we were critical of where we thought the plan fell short, but our constructive criticism should not be misconstrued as opposition to the plan. 

Our goal as an organization has always been to promote housing affordability and sustainability in Tempe. General Plan 2050 gets us further to this goal. That’s why we support the passage of Prop 478. 

There is much more work to be done, but passing Prop 478 is key to a more livable Tempe for all. We hope you’ll join us in reaching out to your family, friends, and neighbors to ask them to vote YES on Prop 478.
